This year, Yalp undertook its first-ever Roadshow across the United States to build community connections, develop awareness, and show a new way to PLAY. At each stop, we worked with our local partners to put on community events that were free and open to the public and offered a chance for family and friends to have an exciting, safe, and memorable day of FUN!
We welcomed guests and community members into an experience that included opportunities to learn the many unique ways Yalp combines technology, outdoor play, sports, games, and education to create an unmatched experience.
The Yalp Promise

It is becoming clear that the world is heading towards a digital future where active outdoor play is declining. At Yalp, we combine technology with outdoor play, sports, games, and education. Our vision is that everyone should have equal life opportunities regardless of background, age, gender, and ability.
Reynoldsburg Barrier-Free and Accessible Playground
On our first stop, we visited JFK Park in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Home to the tomato-themed Yalp Sona Interactive dance and play arch. Together with Midstates Recreation and Reynoldsburg Parks and Recreation, we created a fun day with games, food, and drinks. Children and parents played and danced together under the Sona.

Midstates Recreation also temporarily installed a Yalp Sutu Interactive ball wall during our visit. Shane Malcolm International Football player held a soccer clinic on the Yalp Sutu Interactive ball wall, which was a blast. The Sutu brings people together and encourages them to participate in active competition with friends. All the games have different levels and are challenging for all players—from beginners to advanced.
Miracle Park playground follows the principles of universal design
For our second stop, we visited Miracle Park in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This unique park follows the principles of universal design. Rock Hill provides a playground that is accessible to everyone. Together with Cunningham Recreation and Rock Hill Park, Recreation & Tourism welcomed guests and community members to join us in a day of play.
At this park, people could experience the fun of the Yalp Sona Interactive dance and play arch, and Yalp Memo Interactive play pillars. The Sona has been designed to be fully inclusive through flexibility. Not every game will fulfill every user’s needs, but we offer many games with different experiences for different player preferences and playstyles.
One of the things that we see that is very interesting is that we see elderly patients playing on the equipment, and it's good for dementia patients; they're learning to code and memorizing things that they haven't been able to memorize before.
The Memo also has an extensive library of games to choose from, making it one of the world’s most versatile and dynamic outdoor play products. It stimulates younger players to play together and cooperate creatively.
Field of Dreams is an inclusive playground designed for kids and families of all ages and abilities
The third and last stop on the Roadshow was at the Field of Dreams in Toms River, New Jersey. The Field of Dreams is truly a playground for all. The inclusive playground features numerous accessible playground equipment provided by MRC Recreation, including the Yalp Sona Interactive dance and play arch. Together with the community, we explored how technology can make the playground more accessible and engaging for everyone.
Everybody loves the music arch. It's the coolest thing ever. And it's been really cool today to see some many kids getting to really experience it for what it is
Roadshow wrap up
During the Roadshow, we shared the Yalp Interactive experience with many kids and families of all ages and abilities. It’s great to be able to see so many laughing faces and everyone enjoying themselves playing together! It also showed how important it is to experience the interactives firsthand!
