The first interactive playground has been installed in Scotland at Bargarran park. The park is located to the side of Bargarran and St John Bosco’s joint primary school campus in Erskine.
Thanks to Jupiter Play, the Interactive playground has been installed with the help of Renfrewshire Council’s Green Spaces, Parks and Play Areas, and Villages Investment Fund.
Interactive play is the most exciting thing that’s happened in children’s play for a long time, taking two of the favorite things, the thrill of gaming and the fun of being outdoors.

The park consists of three interactive playground equipment. The Yalp Memo Interactive play pillars, the Yalp Sona Interactive dance and play arch, and the Yalp Fono Interactive DJ-booth.

Through the game store, you have access to a wide range of games, and these can be changed all the time, affecting fitness levels, brainpower, creativity, and imagination. You can change these regularly, so there is a new experience every time someone visits.

Renfrewshire looked at the options that were out there and had seen how Jupiter Play had delivered in the other areas in the UK. We noticed that we didn’t have anything like this in Scotland, so that was a real enthusiasm. We could see from the statistics that they gathered already from the existing play areas on how well it was being utilized, and that is something that we feel the people of Erskine. Particularly the young people of Erksine deserve to have that investment too!
