Shopping mall Deppenbroek

Helping public area function and achieve its purpose better

Yalp Sona Interactive dance and play arch is an excellent addition to virtually any public area. It fits a widely ranging target audience, it’s beautiful, and can enhance the commercial and social values of an area.

A Sona was placed near the ‘Deppenbroek’ Shopping mall in Enschede, the Netherlands. Councilmember of the municipality of Enschede Rixt Wibiër tells us: “When trying to decide on which objects to place in the public space, it’s important to choose something that fits the purpose of the area best, and also making sure it appeals to a large target audience. This is exactly why we ended up choosing the Sona. This shopping mall receives a wide variety of customers; teenagers, parents, children, and grandparents. It was challenging to find something suitable for everyone, but the Sona turned out to be a real hit.”

A positive and surprising addition to any area

Rixt continues: “Although children probably end up playing it the most, the Sona is suitable for people of all ages. As it’s so new and innovative, everyone wants to experience the Sona. Once they check it, however, they find it hard to leave. It’s fun to see. Ultimately, they do carry on with their shopping, of course. In fact, ever since we’ve installed the Sona, many shopkeepers have seen a slight increase in revenue. This shows me, as a councilmember, the Sona’s been a great investment.”

Fun is getting a new name

Until now, you’ve known us as Yalp, but in 2024, we’re undergoing an exciting transformation into Lappset. But not much will change! We remain steadfast in our commitment to our core values. We are thrilled to operate as a brand that has more than 50 years of experience and, like us, embodies a strong culture and work ethic. Yalp becomes Lappset: Movement for every heartbeat.
