Sports bar Pitch 25

The Yalp Sutu Interactive ball wall goes to Houston’s premier soccer bar and restaurant, Pitch 25

Opening in the burgeoning East Downtown (EaDo) neighborhood of Houston, Pitch 25 is ideally located less than a block away from BBVA Compass Stadium, home of Major League Soccer’s Houston Dynamo and within walking distance of Minute Maid Park (home of the Houston Astros), Toyota Center (home of the Houston Rockets) and the George R. Brown Convention Center. The unique venue and fan destination is operated by a team of industry veterans, including former Dynamo star Brian Ching, who led the Dynaomo’s to two MLS Cup Championships in 2006 and 2007.

Pitch 25 offers a unique mix of services and amenities. Televised soccer matches on over 20 TV screens positioned throughout the space join a menu of classic American pub fare, signature craft cocktails, and an extensive tap list from beer around the world.

Within this fun and casual atmosphere, Pitch 25 has its very own indoor soccer field with the interactive Yalp Sutu Interactive ball wall, which can be rented out for tournament play.

"Playing on the wall can bring out the sweat in the oldest of us and also bring out the fun in the youngest of us."

Charles Jackson of the Kraftsman team says: “The benefits of the Sutu, for teenagers, for adults, for children playing with adults, is that it has an aspect of electronics, interactivity, and also exercise. Playing on the wall can bring out the sweat in the oldest of us and also bring out the fun in the youngest of us. It’s vandal resistant, weather-resistant. It can be powered by regular power from 110 vault power source. A slide is a slide, and a climber is a climber. You’re going to go down a slide, you’re going to go up a climber, and unless you’re very creative, you can’t change that. The Sutu though, is very interactive. The children of today are very immersed in videogames; they like the bright lights; they like the connectivity of being able to talk to somebody else.”

“What’s different from when we were kids is that we just had a wall where we could draw a chalk line on it and just kick the ball at the wall. This wall kicks back.”

Brian Ching: “I wanted to put the Sutu in Pitch 25 because of its interactive capabilities. The wall draws a lot of customers onto the field. It gets them to be active, participate, and do something they can’t do in any other establishments. The wall has a tremendous amount of benefits for Pitch 25, not only Pitch 25 but for myself as well. I love getting down here and playing different games against buddies. It brings out that competitive spirit and works up a sweat. And it’s a good little fun workout. It draws people to want to be on the field and interact and play down here.”
